Chairman 's Message

Thank you for taking a moment to visit the School of Dentistry's Web site in China Medical University (CMUD), Taiwan. The education goal of CMUD is to cultivate caring, excellent and responsible dentists with comprehensive knowledge and superb clinical skills. We are proud to have strong alumni who provide excellent oral health care in Taiwan and overseas.

The Faculty of Dentistry celebrated 30 years of dental education in 2010. As we embark into a new decade, we continue to expand our undergraduate intake; we also are growing our postgraduate education programmes both for specialty and research programmes, and continuing education to the dental profession.

Research in the Faculty has been growing, with strength in dental material development, dental biomechanical research, regenerative reaction, in regeneration and developmental biology, and implant related research.

Faculty members make this their priority that our graduates will not only have excellent professional skills but will practice evidenced-based dentistry with their patients’ interests first. Graduate from CMUD are trained to be skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate dental practitioners and assured to make valuable contributions to the communities they serve.
